The MLB playoffs are here! Many boys begin to collect baseball cards early on, hoping to get the “golden ticket” card for that year- a autographed card of one of the top players for that season. Baseball cards are only the “tip of the iceberg” of the collections that can begin in the world of sports. Signed balls from the championship games, old tickets to those same games, programs, and even the bling rings given to the winners. Just recently, this game bat of Roberto Clemente’s from the ’71 World Series sold for $5,000 on eBay. His playing ability, along with his mission work and premature death on one of those trips, keeps his name towards the top of collectibles in the game of baseball.
